Kilnsea Wetlands, South of Kilnsea, Spurn Head, Hull, HU12 0UH.
Kilnsea Wetlands is a small coastal area nature reserve located within a short distance to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's (YWT) main facilities at Spurn Point. The facilities at the YWT Spurn Point include excellent car parking, a cafe and disabled and standard toilets, or you could park in the small car park adjacent to Kilnsea reserve itself.
Parking: free for members of the YWT and Blue Badge holders.
Terrain: Tarmac road from the visitor centre at Spurn Point, then grass and short sections of unmade pathway.
The reserve is between farmland and the North Sea, it overlooks Grossman beach. There is no access to the beach. The paths are obvious to the visitor, mobility equipment users who have larger wheels will have no issues exploring Kilnsea Wetlands. Town type very small wheeled mobility equipment users might struggle on the grass.
What might you see?
Waders, deer, owls, geese, swans, small birds that frequent coastal areas can all be seen if you lucky.
